Job description
As a Junior Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you and your colleagues are responsible for Brand New Day’s reporting to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). FINREP is a key part of your role: you prepare the reports yourself, review and analyse the figures, and ensure they are complete, accurate and submitted on time.
You will also work on other prudential, liquidity and statistical reports. Your role goes beyond producing the numbers: you want to understand where the data comes from, whether the results make sense and what is causing any discrepancies. What will you do as Junior Reporting Specialist?
You will be hands-on in preparing and analysing our regulatory reports to DNB and ensure that they comply with relevant regulatory and accounting requirements, including IFRS and CRR/CRD.
Your responsibilities include:
Preparing, reviewing and analysing FINREP and other regulatory reports, including COREP, LCR, NSFR, BSI and MIR.
Monitoring reporting deadlines through DLR, DNB’s reporting portal, to ensure complete and timely submissions.
Generating and analysing reports using our regulatory reporting software and investigating and explaining discrepancies.
Contributing to regulatory reporting projects and regulatory changes, such as CRR3/Basel IV and new Data Point Models (DPMs).
Assessing the impact of new products on regulatory reporting.
Coordinating, testing and implementing new releases and changes to our regulatory reporting software.
Working closely with Risk, BSM, Data and IT to ensure that data, systems and regulatory reports are properly aligned.
Resolving functional and technical issues, identifying the root causes of recurring problems, and improving and automating reporting processes, internal controls and KPIs.
Supporting access management, audits and the related documentation and evidence.
You’ll join an enthusiastic team of 11 colleagues and you get the opportunity to experience regulatory reporting across its full scope. You will not only work on the ‘run’ – actually preparing and analysing regulatory reports – but also on ‘change’: new regulations, projects, system changes and process improvements.This gives you the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded regulatory reporting professional who not only knows what needs to be reported, but also understands where the figures come from, why they are correct and how the process behind them can be improved.

Job requirements
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a solid foundation and a few years of relevant experience who wants to develop further within regulatory reporting. You are analytical, accurate and pragmatic. If figures do not add up or a deadline is approaching, you take ownership, investigate the issue and involve the right colleagues to get the job done.
You also have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, for example in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Around two to three years of relevant work experience, preferably in regulatory reporting at a bank or other financial institution.
Experience with FINREP or a solid foundation in regulatory reporting and financial reporting.
Strong Excel skills and an affinity with data and systems.
Preferably experience with regulatory reporting software, such as Regnology RRH, or a similar application.
Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
Knowledge of CRR/CRD and experience implementing new DPMs for regulatory reporting is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different disciplines.
