Are you passionate about cloud technology and eager to shape innovative infrastructure solutions in large-scale environments? Join our team as Azure Cloud Engineer, and design, implement and optimize cutting-edge Azure cloud systems while collaborating closely with a team of skilled senior developers and DevOps engineers and architects.

What will you do as Azure Cloud Engineer?

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you’ll design and build scalable Azure environments using infrastructure as code (IaC), manage hybrid networking and support migrations from on-premise to cloud. You’ll implement CI/CD pipelines, ensure resource governance and patching and collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions.

Your key activities and responsibilities in bullets:

  • Design and implementation: Build and implement Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC with Bicep.

  • Networking expertise: Develop and manage hybrid networking solutions, including Azure ExpressRoute and on-premise/cloud integrations.

  • Cloud architecture: Establish scalable Azure landing zones and contribute to multi-cloud solution designs.

  • Migration projects: Help migration from on-premise to Azure landing zones, and within Azure environments.

  • CI/CD for infrastructure: Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and updates.

  • Team collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and efficient operations across projects.

  • Resource management: Ensure comprehensive patch management and governance for all Azure resources.

  • Cloud-native solutions: Champion cloud-native practices to maximize scalability, efficiency and performance.

You’ll be a part of our Cloud and DevOps team, which includes six members across Amsterdam and Bangkok. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with other IT teams including development, security, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of cloud-native solutions.

What do you bring?

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure design and implementation, with a focus on Azure.

  • Experience with networking en hybrid configurations (including ExpressRoute connectivity).

  • Strong knowledge of Azure landing zone architecture and multi-cloud environments.

  • Experience in large, complex cloud environments with a focus on security, scalability and reliability.

  • Certifications such as AZ-104 or similar.

  • Deep understanding of cost management, security policies and Azure Advisor recommendations are bonuses.

Additional competencies

  • A strong grasp of cloud-native principles, avoiding unnecessary reliance on traditional VMs.

  • Familiarity with tools and practices for cost optimization and security improvements.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

  • A proactive approach to staying updated on emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
