Do you want to be designing the kind of automated testing solutions that we can rely on? We are looking to take our app team to the next level with an experienced QA engineer who has expertise in both mobile and backend testing. The emphasis will be on improving our iOS and Android testability and enhancing our test automation on both mobile and backend. If manual testing is your primary focus, this position might not be the right fit for you. 

What will you be doing?

As Mobile QA Engineer, you will ensure high-quality user experiences on iOS and Android platforms by building robust automated testing solutions. 

Your role

Key responsibilities: 

  • Designing, coding, and maintaining mobile test automation frameworks for iOS and Android apps 

  • Creating automated tests for functional, integration, regression, performance and UI testing on mobile and backend 

  • Developing well-structured and reusable automated test scripts to enable fast feedback on the quality of the apps and services 

  • Collaborating with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for fast and reliable feedback 

  • Participating in the specification, decomposition and documentation of requirements and user stories 

  • Investigating, debugging, and resolving complex issues 

Job requirements

Your experience and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile app testing for iOS and Android, with a focus on automation 

  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Appium, Espresso, Swift Testing or similar 

  • Strong understanding of software development practices, including unit testing, integration testing and TDD and BDD methodologies 

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps 

  • Thorough experience with mobile debugging tools and techniques 

Nice to have

  • Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin (behavior-driven development)   

  • Experience with Pact/Pact Broker (contract testing)  

  • Experience with programming in relevant languages like Kotlin, Swift and/or C# 

  • Familiarity with accessibility testing for mobile apps
